Stage 1

apply, just do it

Are you ready to go on a journey?

Recruitment is a bit like dating, it needs to start with a spark! Our hiring journey is more of a conversation than an interview. Let’s get to know each other. Are we compatible? We want to know if we share a similar mindset and values. We believe in long-term relationships.

Once you find your next dream job on our vacancy page. Just click that magical ‘apply’ button.

We try to keep this step as simple as possible. We do get a lot of applications and we review them all. We ask that you allow around 10 days for us to come back to you with a response

In the application, we ask for your resume, personal summary and to answer some citizenM signature questions. Remember to check the requirements for the job before you apply! 




Stage 2

connection moment

Our friendly talent scouts will review all candidates and if we feel your application is a good fit, you will be invited to our famous casting day. This step may include a 15-30 minute phone conversation. This is where we'll start to learn more of what makes you, you - and it’s your first chance to get a feel of our culture. If we decide not to proceed, you will receive an email. 

We’ll ask you why you like to join the team and why you are perfect for the role. Remember to ask us questions too!


Stage 3

casting day

Like any star, our ambassadors are cast rather than interviewed. Casting Days bring together a diverse group of people for an energetic workshop in which we share stories, do assignments and collaborate with one another. We are looking for people who match our values and are naturally caring.

The casting day will last up to 3 hours in one of our hotels so you get the chance to say hello to our ambassadors who will happily fuel you with coffee.



Stage 4

hotel manager check-in

Next up is a conversation with the hotel manager, preferably over a fresh cup of barista coffee or tea in one of our hotels. We would like to understand your readiness, self-awareness and motivation for the role. Remember to ask us your burning questions too! After, it is decision time and we believe feedback is a gift therefore we try to share honest feedback with you, no matter the outcome.
Stage 5

decision time!

It’s decision time and we will get together as a team to decide if we are a match. It is also time for you to reflect on your experience with us. Are we the right place for you?

If YES from both sides, it’s congratulations and welcome to the team! Let’s iron out the details and get ready for your immersion!

If it is a no for now, either way, we believe feedback is a gift and we share honest feedback no matter the outcome
